:: Please introduce yourself and your comrades from LM. Who is writing music, who is writing lyrics? Ho do you divide your duties in LM and how do you find compromises in studio?
Ok,my art's name is Gudrun and I am female singer in LAHKA MUZA & HIEROS GAMOS. Second member from bands is 677, who plays on guitar in LM and on keyboard in HG. Our bands has only two members, other persons are not members of band - they are only our co-operators for live shows other activities... their names are Cora (grooves in LM and performer in HG) and Moon (sampling in LM and performer in HG).Like You know now, all music and lyrics are artwork by Me & 677, because this bands are our own projects...and my duties? well, outside singing I am playing also on electric percussions in LM,I am web master of web site, and I am manager of band and booking agency Silver Snakes. Also I am doing with 677 art`s photos & videos and image...and about studio ? we are in first level mainly studio`s band,so we don t have no problems with studios...we feel here like in fishes in wather..
:: Let's imagine that one had no chance to listen to your music. How would you describe it to a stranger?
LAHKA MUZA is experimental and art`s kind of band...Our music is on minimalist roots , ritual hypnotic structures with strong guitar`s parts and specific female voice...we use in our music elements from Slavonic music roots with modern electronic sound....also I am singing in Slovak language...
:: LM is one of the oldest gothic bands in Eastern Europe and you have achieved quite a lot. What do you consider as most important milestones of your musical career? And why?
Firts....LAHKA MUZA is not pure "gothic" band...we are playing music on borders electronic/dark wave/industrial so better would be term - experimental band... Yes, Me & 677 - we are on music scene already longer time...because this kind of art is our live style...we are not only musicians ,we are artist...this is reason why...Yes, we are one` s from the most knowing bands from East &Central Europe on the West on this dark music scene....and it is not easy...I think that we have 4 mains moments in our music live...first - some start.. around 1984...deep communist system - we co-operate long time in underground in Czechia, second - at 1989 - end of communistic regime and final art`s liberty, third - at 1993 - decay of Czechoslovakia and very bad situation with this kind of music in Slovakia and 4th - at 2000,our star with playing on foreign stages, mainly on West like Gotik Treffen , Dark Nation Days etc...
:: What do you hate most in being a musician? And what do you like most?
Is not easy to say in a few words about this theme...but ok, let`s go... I hate on artists the feeling, that they are absolutely peak of Universe and killing power of their Ego...on the other side I like miracle of creativity and deep empathy with liberty &love...
:: Do you consider your music as a form of entertainment or it's more than that? Some bands use their music as a tool to deliver a certain message, expose views and so on.
I think that right art must contains in own inside deep message in attractive art forms...we are the same kind of artists, I think...but for us is our music& art specific way of entertainment and for our fans too...I am sure.. we are cult band, so pure entertainment is for Pop`s icons...
:: You have released a number of albums and the latest one was out on Lithuanian Dangus. Do you think that this CD is a good way to introduce yourself to LH music or beginner should start with some other album to feel the real magic of LM?
Our 5th CDs V zablesku vecnosti/IN a flash of eternity who published label Dangus is multimedia kind of CD-Extra...he contains outside new music tracks also 2 video,special picture gallery by LAHKA MUZA and main by HIEROS GAMOS (252 pictures) all lyrics from previous albums and all discography...really great material for presentation ! I think that is not important who albums You can listen like first...every album is other , he experiments with different music materials , but all albums has our sign...we have experiences ,that our fans want to heard all albums...but we have also fans only for concrete one album...
It is different.. I think that after so long time in art, we are building our music on the same magic roots.. because this is our source...only form can be other...
:: I know that you have a side-project Hieros Gamos. Could you tell our readers about it? How much it differs from LM?
Yes,You are right....around start of 2002 we played first time with our pure electronic/performative band HIEROS GAMOS on international festival "The Other Sex" in Prague. HIEROS GAMOS was before this event only project for art photos and videos...We had also in Lahka Muza some performative elements too, but we wanted in HIEROS GAMOS like pure performative project...also we love pure electronic music, so we are in HIEROS GAMOS outside guitars...After success on this festival we thought also about more live shows...so we prepared special choreography with our 2 performers - Black Cats and serious music tracks for debut album of HIEROS GAMOS. This album will be also CD-EXTRA type, outside music he contains special picture gallery with 160 pieces in fetish style.
We hope that this album will be out on end of this year on some good label... Also we playing with Hieros Gamos live shows and we prepare shows with band on very interesting events in short future...It will for support of fresh debut album...
